THE BED STATION BY GOLDBRICK, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Cerita lain dari pengalaman perjalanan aku di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jadi, sebelum balik ke Bali lagi dari Medan bulan November 2018 ini, aku punya kesempatan lagi buat ngunjungi kota ini lagi. Ya, aku ga bakal cerita ke kalian, cerita di balik trip singkat aku di Kuala Lumpur, tapi ada satu alesan karena harga tiket buat balik ke Bali kalo dari Medan itu lebih murah transit di Kuala Lumpur daripada harus pilih penerbangan domestik yang juga harus transit di Jakarta. Pastilah aku pilih transit ke Kuala Lumpur!

Di perjalanan singkat kali ini, aku mau bagi cerita sedikit tentang pengalaman nginep di sebuah hostel di daerah terkenal Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, nama hostelnya "The Bed Station by Goldbrick" seru pokoknya.

Ngomong-ngomong, aku sampai di hostelnya jam 11 malam udah mau tengah malam, waktu Kuala Lumpur dan aku ngerasa super capek setelah perjalanan jauh dari airport menuju hostel. Sesampai di hostel, aku langsung check in aja di lobby, disana kalian bakal ketemu dengan front desknya dan bilang aja kalau kalian udah punya bookingan menginap, terus dia bakal minta kita tunjukin ID/Passport, ngisi formulir selama stay di hostel dan ga lupa deposit 50 RM, setelah kelar process itu, petugas yang ada di front desk bakal ngasih kita receipt buat disimpen, next kita bakal di kasih tau nomor kamar kita dan juga nomor tempat tidur (Maklum, stay di hostel jadi ada nomor tempat tidurnya) dan terakhir kita bakal dapat handuk dan juga kunci loker buat nyimpen barang-barang kita dengan aman. Prosesnya cepat dan mudahlah pokoknya, ga ribet!!

Another of my travel experience, in beloved city Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So this November 2018, i had a chance to visit again this amazing city and it was exactly my short visit before heading back to Bali again from my hometown Medan. I don't wanna tell you to you my beloved readers, what story behind of this short visit, but i only will tell one reason because have a transit flight in Kuala Lumpur is cheaper if i wanna go back to Bali instead have a domestic flight which also would have transit flight in Jakarta, so better choose Kuala Lumpur then!

In this short visit, i really had a great stay experience in a hostel at the famous area Chinatown, called "The Bed Station by Goldbrick", that's the reason why i put this review story on my blog.

Anyway,  i was arrived at the hostel around 11 PM local time and it was super tired because a long way from the airport, then you will meet someone at the front desk and just tell them if you already made the booking before, show your ID/Passport, fill the form and put the deposit 50 RM, then the staff will give you a receipt and tell you the room number and your bed number (because i booked for a mixed dorm with 10 beds) and the last process they will give you the towel and the key of the locker. They made the check in process was quick and easy!!

Nah, setelah proses check-in kelar, aku ga buru-buru langsung tidur, tau sih capek tapi perut berkata lain, aku laper jadi harus makan dulu. Kelar makan di dekat hostel (Maafin ga ambil foto untuk hal ini), aku lebih memilih buat keliling hostel dan istirahat di bagian ruang tamunya. Kira-kira sejaman disana sambil WiFian, mulai deh ngantuk. Ngomong-ngomong dua gambar diatas menampilkan betapa nyamannya area lobby di hostel ini, ya ga?

Di hostel ini, aku cuma stay selama 2 hari dan aku nemuin hostel ini via Traveloka. Aku bikin bookingannya langsung dari menu package "Flight + Hotel" dimana kita bisa nemuin harga special buat booking tiket pesawat sekaligus hotel buat nginep. Bener aja jauh lebih murah!

After the check-in process, i decided to not going to sleep directly, i know i was so tired but my tummy said that i need food. After having that late dinner near the hostel (Sorry i didn't take any pictures), i decided to look around the hostel and was just sitting at the reception area where you can find the living room for the guests. I spent around an hour at that area to connect WiFi for my phone.Those two pictures above shows you how the reception area looks like, super cozy huh? 

Anyway, i was staying at this hostel for only 2 days and i found it through Traveloka. I booked the hostel by the package menu "Flight + Hotel" where you can find the special price if you book the flight ticket and the hotel at the same time and i did it. I found it really cheap.

Alright, it is a bed time and ready to discover more about this hostel the next day!

Singkat cerita, selamat pagi!! Hari kedua dan siap buat explore lebih tentang hostel ini dan juga ngabisin waktu keliling KL. Jujur, ga punya banyak plan waktu itu karena memang bukan pertama kalinya trip di Kuala Lumpur. Jadi, di postingan ini aku bakal cerita lebih untuk masalah hostel tempat aku nginep ini dan gini nih bagian dalem kamarnya (Maaf ya soal handuk dan barang-barang lainnya di foto).

Well, Good morning! Another day and ready to discover the hostel and have a relaxing time around. Honestly, i hadn't much plan to discover the city Kuala Lumpur because it was not the first time being around. So, i will just telling you the story about the hostel and this is the looks inside the room (Sorry for the towel and my things on the picture).

Di bagian luar kamar yang ada di lantai 3 ini, kita juga bakal nemuin tempat buat nyantai, ada meja panjang di bagian sudut dan juga sofa buat nyantai.

Outside my room at the 3rd floor, you can also will find the cozy side, the long table at the corner and the cozy couch with a brilliant and beautiful interior.

Nah, ini bentuk tangganya yang menghubungkan setiap lantai di hostel ini. Ngomong-ngomong, hostel ini punya 5 lantai termasuk rooftop, jadi jangan bingung ya buat kalian yang bukan orang asia karena cara orang asia nomorin lantai di sebuah gedung itu beda sama orang dari barat sana atau orang Eropa. Sebagai contoh, lantai satu buat orang asia itu disebutnya GF atau lantai dasar untuk orang Eropa.

Anyway, this hostel has 5 floors included the rooftop (5th floor), don't be confused during your stay because you will see how Asian numbered or named the floor inside a building because it's different way for the Western people/European, that's what i know! For Example, the 1st for Asian is the ground floor for Western/European.

Buat mulai hari kedua aku nginep disini, aku lebih milih buat nyantai di rooftop dimana kalian bakal nemuin Pantry. Dengan roti dan secangkir susu panas udah cukup buat aku sambil nikmatin pemandangan gedung-gedung tinggi. Untuk sarapan aku waktu itu, aku bawa dan beli dari luar hostel karena yang aku tau hostel ini ga nyediain sarapan buat tamu-tamunya. Tenang aja ada banyak tempat makan sama supermarket kok disekitaran, jadi ga usah terlalu khawatir masalah ini.

Selama nginep kita bebas dan gratis buat ngisi air minum dari dispenser aja, tapi buat jenis minuman yang lain kayak, soda, minuman botol, kopi, susu panas dan lainnya, kita harus bayar.

Starting my second day at this hostel, i prefer to go to the rooftop where you can find the pantry area. I was starting my day with a bread and a cup of a hot milk while enjoying the scenery of the city Kuala Lumpur with its buildings and skyscrapers. Me, i brought my food for my breakfast from outside because i think this hostel is not offering the breakfast when you book it. There is a lot of food outside or even supermarket closed to the hostel, so you don't have to worry about it. 

During your stay at this hostel you can fill the water from the dispenser for free but not for another kind of beverages, such us sodas, bottle water, coffee, hot milk, etc, you need to pay it at the reception.

Udah capek seharian keliling KL, pergi ke beberap mall, ketemu temen aku yang ada disana aku mutusin buat balik ke hostel buat istirahat bentar. Tapi, aku ngeliat tamu-tamu lain lagi pada ngumpu di ruang tamu di lobby sambil nonton TV, jadi mending aku ikutan ngumpul bareng aja bentar.

Menurut pendapat aku, kalau kita nginepnya di hostel, cuma tiduran di tempat tidur dan ngurung di kamar itu bukan pilihan yang bagus, tapi ikut ngumpul sama tamu-tamu yang lain itu baru pilihan pas sih, ketemu orang baru, ngobrol, bagi-bagi pengalaman dan cerita dan kita juga ga bakal tau mungkin kita bakal nemuin temen baru dari perjalanan/trip kita ini.

After long day, exploring the city, went to some malls, meet some my local friends in Kuala Lumpur and then decided to back to the hostel to get some rest a lil bit. I saw people was gathered on the living room while watching the TV, so i decided to be around with them a while.

In my opinion, if you are staying at the hostel, just stay in your bed or room it is not a good choice but gather with the other it is the right thing to do, meet new people, to have some talk, share things and stories that we will never know maybe we can make friend during our trip/travel, that's why i prefer to stay in hostel in every trip i made.

Di ruang tamu, kita juga bakal nemuin perpustakaan kecil dimana ada beberapa buku dan majalah buat dibaca dan di foto itu aku lagi baca majalah berbahasa Jerman. Ga usah di tanya aku bisa ngomong bahasa Jerman, karena aku ga bisa! Jadi cuma liatin gambar-gambarnya aja, lol.

At the living room, you can also will find the small library where you can find some books to read or even magazines and on that photo was me, reading a Germany magazines. Don't ask me that i speak German language, because i don't! I was just looked at the pictures i saw, lol.

Nah, ini juga pojok yang menarik di hostel ini tepatnya di lobby, kita bakal nemuin internet corner dengan beberapa komputer yang bisa dipakai oleh tamu-tamu hostel selama menginap dan gratis!

Jujur sih, hostel ini keren banget dan aku sendiri dapat pengalaman yang luar biasa selama nginap di The Bed Station by Goldbrick, Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur ini. Pokonya hostel ini rekomen sekali untuk para budget traveler yang mau punya pengalaman menginap lebih dari sebuah hostel, kayak aku.

Another interesting you can find at the lobby area in this hostel, you will see the internet corner where you can find some computers to use for free, every guests at the hostel can use it during the stay!! 

Was really had a great staying experience at The Bed Station by Goldbrick, Chinatown, Kuala, Lumpur. Would love to recommend this hostel for the budget traveler who want to have a great stay experience like me.
